Rubber industry achieves record results
Rubber farms reached an average value of 65 million USD (4,000 USD) per hectare a year, an increase of 2.5 times compared with 2002.
The industry has applied intensive farming, and has planted high-yielding hybrids and diversified rubber products to increase production value. Noteworthy in 2007 was the increase in workers' salaries to 4.43 million VND a month, a record level so far, up by 13 percent from 2006.
